DJI hasn't announced the Neo 3 yet, but its packaging may have beaten it to the punch. A leaked image of the upcoming drone's retail box surfaced online, clearly labeled as the DJI Neo 3, and it reveals several interesting details.
The drone appears to have more vents across the rear of the body — likely for better cooling — along with redesigned fan enclosures using a hub-and-spoke pattern instead of the concentric circles on the Neo 2. Two new sensors also appear just above the stabilized camera module.
The bigger news is in the box contents. The packaging shows a Fly More Bundle including a new remote branded as the "DJI RC Mini" — a slightly redesigned version of the RC Mini AG that shipped with DJI's agricultural drones. If it follows that design, it would pack a 1.97-inch display with up to 800 nits of brightness, freeing pilots from strapping on a smartphone just to see their video feed.
As with any leak, nothing is confirmed until DJI says so. But if the box is genuine, a Neo 3 launch may not be far off — and the bundled display controller would be a meaningful upgrade for the company's smallest drone line.
